When to turn images into a PDF

Forms and portals often insist on a PDF, but you only have photos of documents. Combining them into a single PDF also keeps related pages together — receipts for a claim, pages of a signed agreement, or a set of screenshots.

Step by step

  • Open the JPG/PNG to PDF tool and add your images.
  • Arrange them in the right order with the ↑ and ↓ buttons.
  • Click Preview PDF and check each page.
  • Download the PDF.

Photograph documents well

Lay the page flat, use even light, and shoot straight on to avoid skewed edges. Keep your thumb out of the frame. Good photos give better PDFs, and clearer text if you later run OCR.

Keeping the file size reasonable

Phone photos are large, and a PDF built from ten of them can reach tens of megabytes. Shrink the images first with an image compressor, or compress the finished PDF.
