1. Acceptance

By using Play PDF, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. The service

Play PDF provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF and image files. The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

3. Your responsibility

You're responsible for the files you process and for keeping backups of anything important. You agree not to use Play PDF to process content you don't have the right to handle, or for any unlawful purpose.

For the password-protect and remove-password tools specifically: passwords are never stored anywhere, including by us. If a password is lost, there is no recovery — that is by design, not a bug.

4. No liability for data loss

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Play PDF and its operator are not liable for any loss of data, files, or access resulting from use of the service. Always keep a copy of your original file before processing it.

5. Ownership

You retain all rights to the files you process. Play PDF makes no claim to their content. The Play PDF name, branding, and underlying code belong to its operator.

6. Play PDF Pro

Every tool stays free, with no limits, whether or not you have Pro — Pro is optional support plus a handful of extras, described on the pricing page.

A Pro license is issued to the email address you paid with, and activates on one browser/device at a time — you can move it to a new device by activating there (it doesn't need to be deactivated first). If you lose your license key, email us from the address you purchased with and we'll resend it.

Checkout is currently handled manually while automated billing is being set up — if you're not satisfied, email within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of PDF Studio are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
